The Rev. Loren A. Boyce is Senior Pastor at Heritage UMC. He came to Heritage in July of 2013. Loren earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) and a Master's of Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. The Rev. Boyce classifies himself as a “Spiritual Imagineer.”
Loren’s theological and worship experiences range from Hippolytus to Willow Creek and opera to bluegrass. He is a classically trained tenor and has spent the past few seasons trying to meld music across the borders of worship in the attempt to find more than just a “third way”. Loren spends most of his days trying to find ways to meet people where they are (on the ball field, on their boards, on the trail, and on the couch).
The Rev. Boyce is married to the Rev. Jessica Boyce. The Boyce family also includes the cruise director (the toddler), Alexander and his brother that will be joining the family in February.
