My husband, Jim, and I have been members of the Heritage UMC community since 1994. Our fabulous boys, Adam and Ross, were baptized and confirmed here and are now off to college and beyond. Worship has always been an important part of my life. My mother was my 2 year old Sunday school teacher and every Sunday we would sing...."I'm going to my church today. I'm going to my church to pray. I'll go in a car (*hands moving like a steering wheel, mouths making car engine noises*). I'll drive quite far (and I did as I lived in rural Nebraska). I'm going to my church today." We ended the song singing..."Sunday is church day! I like Sundays and I like church!" Then, after a Ritz cracker snack, off to worship as a family we would go. The Heritage UMC community (inside and outside the church) is my home, and we are creating great memories here. Outside of the church, you will most likely find me at the gym teaching spin, on a walk with my dogs, on my bicycle in the beautiful Colorado mountains, or watching college sports (Go Huskers!).
