The Alzheimer's Association Colorado Chapter hosts monthly support group meeting for caregivers, spouses, and adult friends and family of individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias. Meetings (no-cost) are open to the public and are held on the 3rd Thursday each month at 7 pm til 8:30 pm in room 203. Support groups are for those to share with one another in a confidential setting. The Alzheimer's Association requests that service providers, students and product representatives refrain from attending these support groups.
AARP provides a classroom refresher course at Heritage UMC about 4 times each year especially designed for drivers age 50 and over. $12 for AARP Members and $14 for Non-AARP Members. Course materials include workbooks for each student. Graduates receive a certificate of completion that may entitle them to a reduction in their auto insurance premiums in most states. Students will learn defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road.
